Sherpa Computer Services is an information technology company established by Nima Sherpa in 2002.
Nima is a self made individual who is hard working and self-educated. He came from the highest mountain region of the world Mt. Everest of Nepal. He WAS a SHERPA and He IS a SHERPA, who ran many trips all over Nepal, including countless times to the base camp of Mt. Everest.
Nima came to the United State in mid 1993 at age 28 with 3rd grade education. A prominent resident of Wharton Dr. Walter McConnell and his wife Isabel helped Nima get a place to stay and a job as a maintenance helper. Nima also worked in a various stores and warehouses. While working as a clerk in a warehouse in 1999, the company closed leaving Nima unemployed.
He realized that without any kind of degree, he will never be a successful person. Between mid 1993 and 1999, Nima studied (GED) General Education Development with the help of private tutor Tedd Hardman from Netcong, New Jersey. He earned his High School Diploma through the State of New Jersey in June 1999. Nima always had interest in the computer science and technology innovations. After losing his job as a warehouse clerk, Nima attended full time Computer Technical School. He graduated in early 2000 and with a Diploma in Computer Technical Support (CTS). Nima worked in the Information Technology field since 2000. He is now certified by some of the leading software companies in the world, including Microsoft and Novel.
Beside sherpa computer services, Nima also works for a non- profit organization as a Network Engineer.
All of the work at Sherpa Computer Services are performed under Nima’s direction or by Nima himself. His philosophy is regardless of what he does; quality of service, honesty, reliability, and people friendly are the most important aspects of his service. Nima plans to keep his business small, and provide high quality service. This is very important in today’s economy where home or small business users don’t have or can’t afford access to an IT department.
